We are reaching out with heavy hearts, asking for your support in helping our brother in Islam, Abdur Rahman Brown, bury his beloved daughter, Akaiza Bint Abdur Rahman Brown, with a proper Janazah. The brother urgently needs $5,000 within the next 72 hours to cover the burial expenses.
As Muslims, we know the importance of fulfilling the rights of the deceased by ensuring they receive a dignified burial. Ibn Majah reported that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“Give charity on behalf of your dead.” (Ibn Majah 1841)
Helping to bury a fellow Muslim is an act of great reward, as it is fulfilling an obligation upon the community. Al-Bukhari and Muslim recorded that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever attends a funeral until the prayer is offered will have one qirat (of reward), and whoever attends until (the deceased) is buried will have two qirats.” It was asked, ‘What are two qirats?’ He said, “Like two great mountains.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1325, Sahih Muslim 945)
Additionally, this is the blessed month of Ramadan, a time when good deeds are multiplied. At-Tirmidhi reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” (Tirmidhi 663)
Giving sadaqah during this month not only helps the deceased but also brings immense reward for the giver. Imagine the reward of helping a grieving father in his most difficult time while also securing blessings in this sacred month.
We humbly ask you to donate whatever you can, whether big or small, and to share this with others. May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly, forgive your sins, and grant you the immense blessings of Ramadan. May He make this charity a means of ease for both the deceased and her grieving family, and may He grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
