With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved grandmother, Danise Augustave due to her battle with leukemia. A devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, Danise’s love and kindness knew no bounds. Her sudden departure has created an unimaginable void for her daughter Magalie and her grandchildren Najabelle, Makayla, and Tatiana, who are not only grieving the loss but also navigating the financial burden of this tragedy.
Danise was a woman who gave selflessly, especially to her family and community. Throughout her life, she supported her seven siblings in Haiti and extended her help to their children, especially in times of need. Whether it was aiding with educational costs, medical emergencies, food, or shelter, she never hesitated to share her limited fixed income. Danise was also a regular contributor to HOHAYE (Hope for Haitian Youth and Elderly; https://www.hohaye.org/HOHAYE/), a cause close to her heart. Even as her own health and circumstances changed, she continued to care for her sister, who suffered a stroke three years ago, and provided for her sister’s children.
Her legacy of generosity and love is reflected in the lives she touched, and we are committed to carrying that forward.
