Support Zolayha Johnson’s Burial Expenses

Main fundraiser photo
It is with great sadness that we are fundraising to cover burial expenses for our beloved community member, Zolayha Johnson. Zolayha (16) and her 12-year-old sister were involved in a DUI vehicle accident on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025. Zolayha was pronounced dead at the scene and her sister was airlifted to medical care.

Zolayha and her sister were regular attendees at the Southeast Keizer Community Center (SEKCC) for the past seven years. They always showed up with a smile and brought joy to all who interacted with them. Zolayha enjoyed cooking and frequently helped prepare and serve meals at SEKCC; she had plans to become a chef after high school. Her sister enjoys the outdoors, wildlife, and spending time hiking and on the Oregon coast.

The SEKCC board has decided to fundraise for the burial and funeral costs of Zolayha’s funeral. While her family is in the process of planning exact expenses, we have the goal to raise $10,000. All donations will go directly to SEKCC’s bank account, and all payments to burial/funeral-related services will be paid directly to the providing business. As we receive receipts for the services, we will post them to this page.

The dates for a burial and funeral have not yet been decided, but it will be planned for a time after her sister is able to attend. The service date listed on this page is merely an estimation of when we’d like to have funds raised by.

We appreciate any donation, sharing of this page, and prays and thoughts of healing for the family and friends of our missed Zolayha.
