On Sunday March 23 I received a call from a good friend that every person dreads. The loss of life is always difficult, but the loss of a child is nothing a person should ever have to go through. Frank Rodriguez is one of the most humble, kind hearted and soft spoken people I have ever met. If there is any way that you are able to show this amazing family how much a community can come together, I ask that you help contribute to making this horrible time easier by making a donation that will allow this family to focus on what matters the most. Below is the story of Deztiny Rodriguez and the events that led to the nightmare.
Fresno, TX – Justice for Deztiny Rodriguez
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at around 10:34 PM, 18-year-old Deztiny Rodriguez was fatally struck by a Chevy mid-size SUV while walking near Evergreen St and South Post Oak Rd in Fresno, TX. The driver fled the scene without offering help, leaving Deztiny in a ditch as her boyfriend screamed for assistance.
A white SUV behind the suspect stopped and stayed with her until neighbors called 911. Deztiny was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital but sadly didn’t survive due to severe internal injuries.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and DPS are investigating. If anyone has any information, please reach out to them.
Please share and help this family find justice.
