Help Lay Miss Whitney to Rest with Dignity and Justice
It is with unimaginable pain that I share the loss of my beloved adopted daughter, Miss Whitney, who passed away at just 29 years old. She was my forever daughter—a bond that time or distance could never break. After some time apart, Miss Whitney reached out to me in need, and without hesitation, I dropped everything to be by her side and help her recover.
Miss Whitney had been in the hospital since May 7, battling multiple health complications. Just days earlier, on May 2, she had been prematurely discharged—far too soon—which led to her immediate readmission. We were promised a transfer to a hospital that could properly care for her, but that transfer never happened. The system failed her.
She fought courageously, but her body could no longer withstand the neglect and delays in proper care. As her legal next of kin, I am devastated. We never expected to be planning her burial so soon. Her biological family and I are asking for your help to give Miss Whitney the farewell she deserves and to begin seeking justice for the heartbreaking failures that contributed to her passing.
Your support will help us cover:
Funeral and burial expenses
Travel and lodging for grieving family
Memorial service arrangements
Legal assistance as we pursue answers and accountability
Miss Whitney was a bright light, a fighter, and a beautiful soul who deserved better. Please consider donating or sharing this campaign to help us honor her life and fight for the justice she was denied.
With love, gratitude, and deep sorrow,
Kim Johnson and the Washington Family
