Support Mateo’s Family in Honduras After Two Sudden Losses
My name is John Paul Stewart of Walker, Louisiana. My dear friend Mateo, a kind and humble Christian man living in Honduras, has experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. In just one week, his family lost two loved ones—including his beloved uncle, who passed away suddenly just days after they buried another relative who died in a tragic accident.
Mateo’s family is grieving deeply. They are also extremely poor. A large family lives together in a small two-room home, and when Mateo showed me their refrigerator recently, there were only a few tomatoes inside. They are struggling to even feed the family, much less afford the funeral expenses or provide meals for guests during the mourning period—an important part of Honduran culture.
That’s why I started this fundraiser. With your help, we can take the pressure off of Mateo’s family during this time of pain.
How the money will be used:
• Funeral expenses for Mateo’s uncle
• Food and basic supplies for the family
• Supporting the family during the days of mourning
How the money gets to them:
Donations will go directly into my mother’s bank account, and I will then send the full amount to Mateo’s mother in Honduras using MoneyGram, either as a direct bank deposit or for cash pickup, depending on what works best for them. We’ve used this method before, and it works quickly and securely.
Your kindness can make a real difference.
Even a small gift can help this family feel supported and cared for. If you can’t donate, please share this campaign with your friends and keep this beautiful family in your prayers.
Thank you so much for your compassion.
