Abby is starting this fundraiser for Lori Combs, her oldest sister, who has endured more heartbreak than most people could imagine. Over the years, Lori has suffered the loss of her daughter, her middle son to cancer, and her youngest son in a car accident. Now, she is facing another devastating loss after her husband, Jerry, passed away unexpectedly. Jerry was Lori’s rock and the person who helped hold her little family together. His sudden passing has left Lori not only grieving deeply, but also facing life without his income at a time when they were already struggling to make ends meet on Social Security.
Lori now carries all of the financial responsibility alone. Donations will help with Jerry’s cremation costs, housing, food, monthly bills, vehicle expenses, and gas. Abby also hopes to ease the burden enough that Lori can seek therapy and counseling through her church as she walks through this overwhelming season of grief.
