Hello everyone! We are currently trying to accept donations to help cover funeral home funds, cremation, and medical expenses for my grandmother, Jan. She lost one of her adopted children, Merilu, otherwise known as Meri, this past week. She did not have life insurance due to being medically complicated. My grandmother is now stuck with quite the bill and lack of resources. Having Meri helped her keep a roof over her head due to being compensated by the state alongside her other foster child, Lakita. She is also still caring for her other adopted daughter, Shaunte.
We are currently trying to cover the following: $2,900 to the funeral home, $3,000 to fix the wheelchair lift in her home to continue properly caring for Lakita, and another $4,100 to cover my grandmother’s mortgage, bills, and food during this time of grieving and loss of income.
