Support for Shelly & Boys After Scott’s Passing

Support for Shelly & the boys.

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Scott Nielsen, who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025. Scott will be remembered as a man who worked tirelessly with his hands but led with his heart. His loyalty, quiet strength, and boundless love will forever inspire those who knew him.

Scott Alan Nielsen, 44, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. True to his nature, Scott faced his final moments as he lived his life—with strength, dignity, and an unwavering work ethic.

Born on July 13, 1980, in Shreveport, Scott was a man of quiet resolve, boundless generosity, and deep faith. A skilled carpenter, he poured his heart into his craft, creating lasting works with his hands and leaving an indelible mark on those around him. Known for his tireless dedication, Scott’s pride in his work was matched only by his devotion to his family.

Scott found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially playing video games, which became a cherished way to connect with his beloved son, Jaxsen Nielsen. Above all, Scott was a devoted father to Jaxsen and a proud stepfather to Cade Prescott, loving them fiercely and unconditionally. His family was his greatest treasure, and his legacy of love will live on in their hearts.

As Shelly and the boys navigate his untimely passing, they are faced with the difficult task of arranging Scott’s final farewell. We are reaching out on their behalf to our community of friends for support in honoring Scott’s memory.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be a blessing to help alleviate the financial strain and allow Shelly to focus on the boys and their road to healing.

Your kindness means the world as they navigate through the grief and loss.

Visitation Service to be held Saturday, June 14th.
