Support Doobie’s Funeral Expenses

We are so lost and don’t know what to do at this point. As I’ve told everyone, David “Doobie” Gore passed away 3/25/25. And the funeral home is telling us even though my dad had insurance they can’t wait 8 weeks to cremate him. They want us to pay upfront, and this was very unexpected, we can’t afford to pay for everything. We still have bills due and now the mortuary is wanting the money upfront and the paperwork states after seven days it’s $100 a day to hold him. Just for cremation is 2995.00. And cremation with a memorial service is 5220.00. We really don’t know what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is not what we expected at all. Dealing with his passing and dealing with this as well.
