Clark Derry Briggs January 7, 1984- August 23rd, 2026
Clark passed away suddenly on August 23rd, 2026 after a long battle with health issues. He was waiting for surgery he had finally been approved for but did not live to celebrate the day. He was so hopeful with the chance to live a long life with his son, Landon, and being the best father , brother and son he dreamed so long of being. With a severely broken heart I am letting everyone know that my son, Clark Briggs, has joined his brother, his first friend, Garrett in the Heavens above… As I have shared, this tragedy is sudden, and we are trying to come to grips with loosing Clark… His brother’s Dylyn and Ryan, his son Landon, so many friends and all that know him, are going to struggle with the news of his passing. Clark is my first born baby boy and his son, Landon, my only grandson, is Clark’s pride and joy… As the news is reaching those that know and love him I need to ask for help with the Funeral Parlor cost, Cremation and Memorial expenses. Any additional money raised will be placed in an account for his son’s future His son just graduated from High-school and thankfully Clark was able to attend and celebrate the day with all of us.Clark was so talented. He could pick up any instrument and play it by ear. His ability to memorize was amazing and when we had a class in College together it was such a blessing Intellegent is an understatement. Clark was a Counselor at Miracle Ranch and found his love of cooking and serving food at the young age of 14. He continued to work as a Cook and Bartender at almost every establishment in Gig Harbor. So many years at the Tides Tavern, The Saloon, The Harvester, Sunset Grill, The Brix, Kiss Café, Farrelli’s, Jazebone’s, The Swiss, Dukes, Jades Palace in both Tacoma and Seattle and many many more. His kindness and compassion for others is hard to match. Our family needs everyone, that was fortunate to know Clark, to come together and give Clark the proper send off he deserves. Clark was one of a kind and we truly are better people for having him touch our lives and those he knew. Please understand that we are greatful for everyone who has reached out to us and are sharing memories of humor and love
