Once again, a young life taken by senseless gun violence.
On Monday, June 2nd, my nephew Bryton Hicks was shot and killed in the Orange Mound area of Penelton/Deadrick. He was a kind and nice young man, though he had his issues like all young individuals these days. He had just come back to visit Memphis, his hometown, from St. Louis. He passed away without insurance and we’re trying to come up with the funds to give him a proper burial. The funeral home has a deadline for the payments, which is this coming Monday, June 17th, so this is his Uncle Shaun, known in the Mound, calling on any and everybody that’s able and willing to help us, his original family, ❤️ give him a great send-off.
