My name is Jerome Pamintuan, a Filipino citizen currently in Tbilisi, Georgia. I am writing with utmost respect to humbly request the urgent assistance and intervention of the Philippine Consulate General and the appropriate Philippine government agencies following the tragic passing of my wife, Rose Pamintuan, in Tbilisi, Georgia, on August 28, 2026.
My wife’s unexpected death has placed my son, Miracle Lee Pamintuan, and me in an extremely difficult and unforeseen situation. We are currently in Georgia and do not have sufficient financial resources to settle the remaining medical expenses, arrange the necessary funeral and mortuary services, repatriate my wife’s remains to the Philippines, and secure airfare and transportation for my son and me to return home.
In this regard, I respectfully seek the assistance of your good office, particularly with regard to financial assistance, repatriation of my wife’s remains, transportation assistance for my son and me, and coordination with the appropriate Philippine government agencies or other organizations that may be able to extend assistance to our family.
For your consideration, I respectfully provide below a chronological account of our circumstances and the events leading to my wife’s passing:

My wife, Rose Pamintuan, arrived in Hong Kong as an Overseas Filipino Worker.
December 26, 2023
From Hong Kong, Rose travelled to Tbilisi, Georgia, to work at Wheat Baby HM LLC as an office clerk. The company did not issue her a formal employment contract nor provide her with employment benefits. She worked for the company for close to two years.
May 15, 2025
My son, Miracle Lee, and I travelled to Georgia on tourist visas to visit my wife and spend time together as a family. We were granted short-term visas.
Upon our arrival, we stayed in a room apartment at Gogidze Shalva 4, Tbilisi, Georgia, which was provided by Wheat Baby HM LLC.
Approximately two weeks after my son and I arrived in Tbilisi, we were able to move into our own apartment. During this period, Rose continued working, our son attended online classes based in the Philippines, and I stayed home to care for him. Eventually, my son and I overstayed our permitted stay in Georgia.
March 3, 2026
I was offered part-time clerical work by Wheat Baby HM LLC. My working schedule was Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
April through mid-July 2026
There were no major events affecting our family during this period.
July 20, 2026
Rose was working as a representative of Wheat Baby HM LLC in connection with Anima Clinic. Her duties included processing ultrasound results, HCG results, and follow-up prenatal checkups for expecting mothers.
Around this time, my wife confided in me that she had been experiencing persistent abdominal pain. Despite the discomfort, she continued working and tolerated the pain.
July 28, 2026
My wife, son, and I were having dinner at our apartment when Rose began experiencing abdominal and back pain. She continued to tolerate the pain and initially refused to go to the emergency room because she was concerned about the cost of medical care.
July 29, 2026
In the early morning hours, Rose’s pain became unbearable and excruciating, and I brought her to the emergency room. Because of the cost associated with hospital admission, we initially returned home.
Later that same day, her condition worsened, and we returned to the emergency room, where she was admitted. Medical tests were performed, and the attending physician informed us that Rose had Acute Pancreatitis Disease.
Even while hospitalized, Rose continued performing work remotely using her phone.
July 30, 2026
I attempted to contact Rose, but she did not respond. I later learned that she had gone into septic shock and had been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. She was intubated, placed under medically induced sedation, and given medications to manage her condition and alleviate her symptoms and pain.
July 31, 2026
I was able to visit my wife in the ICU. She remained in the Intensive Care Unit from July 30 until August 28, 2026. Visiting hours were from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and I visited her every day.
August 28, 2026
I visited Rose as usual. At approximately 5:00 p.m., I was informed that my wife had passed away due to multiple organ failure.
Following her death, a representative of Wheat Baby HM LLC informed me that the company could provide financial assistance or compensation to our family for the loss of my wife. The representative informed me that he would meet with me on Monday to further discuss the matter.
As of writing, I have not yet settled the outstanding balance incurred during my late wife’s hospitalization. The hospital advised me that the remaining balance must be paid by September 30, 2026. I signed a waiver acknowledging this obligation.
