Remembering Justin: Help Us Honor His Memory

A Loving Tribute to Justin Horton: Helping His Mother with Final Expenses ❤️

Justin Horton was one of those rare souls who just radiated light, even when he was going through the toughest stuff. From the moment he was born, kidney disease was a part of his life, meaning countless trips to the hospital and pain most of us can’t even imagine. But seriously, no matter how much it hurt, Justin’s main goal was always to make you smile. He never let his health define him; he just faced everything head-on, no excuses.

This kid was pure energy and joy. He loved baseball, soccer, wrestling, skateboarding, biking, dirt biking, video games, and honestly, just hanging out with his friends and family. That smile? It was always there, a testament to his incredible spirit and how much he loved life.

For the past 17 years, Justin’s routine included dialysis, four days a week, four hours at a time. Think about that — 17 years of being hooked up to a machine, all while battling constant, excruciating pain. But even then, he never quit.

Then, last night, our worst fears came true. Justin had this deep, gut-wrenching fear of dying alone, and tragically, that’s exactly what happened. He was begging for his mom to stay, telling everyone he knew he was dying, but they still made her leave. He was right, and he passed away alone, in so much pain. It breaks our hearts into a million pieces.

Now, his mom, who’s on a fixed income, is left trying to figure out how to cover everything. All she wants is to have Justin cremated and to get him a proper gravestone, a place where we can all go to feel close to him and remember his beautiful, too-short life.

We’re reaching out, from the bottom of our hearts, asking for your help. Any little bit you can chip in will mean the world and help ease some of the immense burden on Justin’s mom. It would allow her to grieve without the added stress of financial worry. Let’s come together and give Justin the loving farewell he truly deserves.

Thank you, from the depths of our hearts, for your kindness and generosity in honoring Justin’s memory. He touched so many lives, and now it’s our turn to show up for him and his family.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
