Joe’s Last Days: please help

Hi everyone, my name is Kandi. My dad’s name is Joe Morales. We are wanting to raise money to help with his final expenses after he passes away. He is currently on Hospice and was given about 7 days.

Here is what happened: Late 2024, we found out my dad had stage 3 chronic kidney disease that we were told was treatable. His condition started to decline. He was forgetting conversations that were happening at the time and slowly became bedridden. In April 2025, we took him to see his dietitian to manage his kidney disease, and all was fine until it wasn’t. Later that night, we noticed he had a hard time breathing and was in more pain than normal. We took him to the ER in Burley, Idaho that night. There, he had 2 liters of fluid removed from his left lung. He stayed in that hospital until he was transferred to Twin Falls, Idaho. When he got there, they drained his lung another 2 liters, and they found cancer during the MRI. Because Twin Falls is a smaller hospital, they were not able to do any major procedures. They then transferred him to Huntsman Cancer Institute in SLC. They found the masses that were found in Twin Falls were indeed renal cell carcinoma, and it had spread to his pelvis and lungs. When we got that news, Huntsman said that they’d either cauterize or remove his kidney. This was scheduled for 6/3/25. They discharged him. While he was here in Ogden, we took him again to Ogden Regional. He had an infection that they gave him antibiotics for. They discharged him. I took him back home to Idaho. This was the end of May, around the 20th-ish.

On this past Friday, he was due to start treatment on his kidney cancer, and when he got there, his oncologist said that with his condition and current MRI showing he has been having mini-strokes because the cancer has spread to his brain, TREATMENT IS NO LONGER AN OPTION, and we are now left with knowing our dad has less than 7 days of his life. Please help in any way you can. The funeral homes in and around Heyburn, Idaho (where they live) have quoted between 6k-10k. Seriously, anything will help! If you have read this far, thank you! It’s been a rough almost 2 months. I appreciate everyone, please share.
