My brother came to Canada to share a long-awaited vacation with us. We were blessed to enjoy four beautiful days together, getting to know Toronto, St. Jacobs Market, and the breathtaking Niagara Falls.
Suddenly, he experienced a severe headache that lasted for three days. We went to the hospital, where doctors discovered that he was suffering from a stroke. He was immediately transferred to a hospital in Hamilton, where the doctors performed three surgeries, and the nurses provided him with exceptional care.
However, after three weeks of fighting for his life, William passed away on August 31, leaving a huge emptiness in our hearts.
Only his wife was able to obtain a humanitarian visa and be by his side during his final week.
We are asking for your help so that his wife can return home without financial worries and bring William’s ashes back to Colombia, where his mother, children, siblings, and friends are waiting to give him his final farewell.
We are going through an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover the hospital and funeral expenses and allow us to fulfill William’s final journey home.
