In Loving Memory of Debbie Edday Hedges

If you’ve spent any time in Eminence, Kentucky—especially along Jackson Road, at the Eminence United Pentecostal Church, in the halls of Eminence Independent Schools, or around the Henry County Republican Party—then chances are you knew, or at least met, Debbie Hedges. And if you met her, you likely heard her signature greeting:

“You look so nice, I’ve just got to take your picture!”

Debbie didn’t just live in this community—she captured it, celebrated it, and loved it deeply. She showed up, she cared, and she preserved memories for so many of us.

If you knew Debbie more personally, then you also knew about the people who filled her heart: Craig, Clint, Tammy, and Lakaii—her children and children-in-love. Then came her greatest joys: her grandbabies, Hannah, Justin, Isaac, Jeremiah, Tavion, and Elijah. And of course, her beloved siblings and nephews and favorite niece—Patsy, Louis, Mark, Doug, and Melody.

These were the people Debbie loved most fiercely—but the foundation of her life was her faith. Debbie didn’t just believe in Jesus—she knew Him. Her life was anchored by a relationship with Him that guided her every word, every sacrifice, and every photograph.

On Monday, June 2, Jesus called Debbie home to her eternal reward. Her passing was sudden and deeply felt, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. But even in our sorrow, we trust in the goodness of God, who gives peace beyond understanding and holds close the brokenhearted.

Debbie gave so much in her life—she sacrificed time, resources, and energy to help others without hesitation. Now, I want to honor her by doing the same.

I’m asking you to join me in helping her sons, Craig and Clint, lay their mother to rest in a way that honors the incredible woman she was—without the added burden of financial stress during this time of grief.

If Debbie touched your life, if she made you smile, or if she ever captured a precious moment for you—please consider giving back in her memory. All funds will go to Craig Hedges so that he and Clint Hedges can put their precious momma to rest.

Thank you for loving Debbie and for helping honor her legacy.
