It is with a heavy heart that I share the unexpected loss of my mom, Mary Geronsin, who passed on Friday, August 28th.
One of my favorite memories with her was as a kid when she would take some of my friends and I to the play place inside the Superstition Springs Mall and we would ride the carousel and have S’barros pizza for lunch. Growing up I would always confide in her. We could just sit and talk for hours. We laughed, smiled and cried together. She never let a day go by without letting me know how much she loved me and how proud she was of me.
My mom wasn’t just my anchor throughout life, but also for the many young kids she helped nurture through her work in childcare. She was a pillar of love and patience, tending to them as if they were her own.
Given how sudden her passing was, we’re trying to navigate through heartbreak and look to honoring her in a way in which she deserves: hosting a memorial service to celebrate her life among family and friends, where we can share our love for what an amazing woman she was.
