Help Us Give Uncle Kris a Goodbye He Deserves
Last night, our family had to say goodbye to our Uncle Kris Farley. Uncle Kris was never the loudest person in the room. In fact, most of the time, he preferred to stay to himself. But if you were lucky enough to be one of the people he let into his world, you knew exactly what kind of man he was. He was the kind of person who would do anything for the people he loved. He wasn’t always the person who said everything out loud, but somehow, he always found his own way of making sure you knew he cared.
during his younger years he worked as a bricklayer with uncle Steve, and loved to bowl and golf. His later years revolved around the cats and dogs…. Kris absolutely loved them—and if those animals could talk, they would probably tell you that Uncle Kris was their favorite person ever because He was notorious for giving the cats and dogs way more treats than they were supposed to have, usually while making Uncle Steve completely crazy in the process. It’s one of those little things that seems so simple until someone is gone, and suddenly you’d give anything to watch it happen one more time.
The last few months of Kris’s life became increasingly difficult. His body was tired. He fought infection after infection, went through an amputation of a toe, shoulder surgery, knee surgery, and more medical battles than anyone should have to endure.
But Kris kept fighting.
He fought hard, and he fought for as long as his body would allow him to.
Last night, that fight finally ended.
As devastated as we are to lose him, there is some comfort in knowing that Kris doesn’t have to hurt anymore. He doesn’t have another surgery to get through, another infection to fight, or another day of his body working against him.
He can finally rest and not be in pain. And we’d like to think somewhere up there, Uncle Steve was waiting for him—probably already giving him a hard time, with a set of golf clubs ready so the two of them and mulligan and Rylee can finally play another round together.
Well unfortunately, Kris passed away without life insurance or funds set aside for funeral expenses. Our family is now trying to navigate the heartbreak of losing him while also figuring out how we are going to afford to lay him to rest.
We are asking for help giving Uncle Kris the goodbye he deserves.
Every donation will go toward his final expenses. No amount is too small and we truly appreciate any type of help we can get.
Kris spent his life working hard. He loved his family in his own quiet way, spoiled every animal that crossed his path, and fought until he simply couldn’t fight anymore.
Now it’s our turn to take care of him.
Rest easy, Uncle Kris. Your fight is over. Give Uncle Steve a hug for us—and try not to let him beat you too badly on that first round of golf. ❤️
We love you. We miss you. And we will carry you with us always.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating, sharing, praying, or simply keeping our family in your thoughts as we say goodbye.
