Where do you start when it comes to the opulent love of not just a mother, but a true best friend? The loss of our mother, Maxine, has left a profound void in the lives of her three daughters. Maxine was a tenacious woman from Wichita who eventually made her home in San Diego. She was known for her generous and loving heart, her nurturing ways, and her positive outlook on life. Even when she didn’t have much, she always gave what she could, making everyone around her feel cared for and supported.
Maxine was a versatile worker who found joy in many things, from creating beautiful gardens to tackling carpentry projects around the house. She could do it all, and she did it with a smile. Her home was always open, and her spirit was a source of strength for our family. Now, as we face the unimaginable task of saying goodbye, we are reaching out to family, friends, and anyone touched by her kindness to help us provide her with a final resting place.
