***In Loving Memory Of John N. Thao (“JT”)***
It is with a heavy heart that I write this, as losing a loved one is never an easy process. No matter how you prepare, the pain and grief hurt the same. Losing my brother-in-law John Thao, “JT”, is no exception.
John was truly in love with life. Family was everything and his kids meant the world to him. Being around John was endless laughter and everyone included. John’s smile was always warm and welcoming.
John was talented in music and dance, influencing many around him to appreciate the arts. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. In his words, it was about “being free.”
About 2 years ago, John began developing health issues that progressively became more complicated causing him to frequent the hospital. Each time JT went in, he’d make a full recovery and come out. After all, JT was relatively young. He was strong; he was a fighter. We knew he’d pull through.
This last time, it was different. What began as an infection quickly progressed and became life-threatening. This eventually led to multi-system organ failure, and on June 12th, 2025, John succumbed to his illness passing away peacefully surrounded by family. Though he fought to the very end, this time, there was no pulling through. John was 44 years old.
John leaves behind both his Parents, 9 siblings, 7 kids, and a host of nieces/nephews, and friends. That day, we lost a son, a father, a brother, an uncle, and a friend…
With how fast everything happened, we are asking for help. No donation is too small, and if you are unable to donate, please keep JT and his family in your prayers. All proceeds will go towards funeral expenses and arrangements in honor of JT so we can give him the proper farewell he deserves.
