It is with a heavy heart that on March 25, 2025, I announce the passing of my adoptive mother/grandmother, Mrs. Ida Epps Hunter. My grandmother became terminally ill, and at 80 years of age, I was unable to obtain affordable burial insurance on her behalf. I have been caring for her and my five children out of pocket since March 2024. Between traveling back and forth from NYC to Georgia, distant relatives have illegally obtained all her assets and left the immediate family with the burial expense. My grandmother was a retired teacher of 41 years and the widow of U.S. Army Veteran, Sgt. Reginald Hunter. Mrs. Ida Hunter was loved by her friends, former co-workers, church family, and her former students. Please help me lay my beloved grandmother to rest respectfully. The funeral home has already begun charging $100 a day to care for the deceased. Thank you for your attention on this matter. God bless you all that have shared your prayers and condolences with our family at this time.
