In Loving Memory of Gloria Alejandrez Avila
With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved mother, Gloria Alejandrez Avila, was called home to heaven on June 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.
Gloria was more than just a mother—she was the matriarch of our family, the glue that held us all together. She leaves behind her two children, Richard Amaya (53) and Bernice Amaya (46), and two grandsons, Joshua (21) and Jonathon (15), who each carry a unique story of the love and care she poured into their lives.
She was a woman of unwavering faith—a God-fearing, funny, loving, and compassionate soul who touched many lives. Gloria found joy in leading Bible studies, praying for others, and introducing people to Jesus. Her grandsons were the light of her life, and she loved them deeply.
Her passing has rocked our family to the core, especially knowing she won’t be here to see her youngest grandson, Jonathon, graduate from high school. While we are heartbroken, we take comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and now at peace with the Lord.
We are reaching out during this incredibly difficult time to ask for your support. Like many families, we live paycheck to paycheck and unfortunately did not have life insurance to cover funeral expenses. Any contribution—no matter how small—will help us lay our mother to rest with the dignity and love she deserves.
We love you, Mom. We hope we made you proud. Be with the Lord. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
With love and gratitude,
The Amaya Family
