For Brooke’s mother, Donna
Brooke’s mother, Donna, is currently in hospice care after a long and courageous battle with illness, including nearly two years of fighting cancer. As her family prepares for the difficult days ahead and the imminent loss of someone so deeply loved, they are facing both profound heartbreak and the practical responsibilities that come with saying goodbye. Known by many as “Donna D,” Donna lived a life full of love, personality, and connection. She was loved by so many people, never seemed to meet a stranger, and had a way of making her presence known the moment she walked into a room. She was truly one of a kind, and the memories she created with the people who loved her will be carried with them forever.
Brooke is Donna’s only child, and as she prepares to navigate the grueling days surrounding her mother’s passing, she and her husband are also carrying the responsibility of funeral and related expenses. This fundraiser was created to help ease some of that financial burden so Brooke and her family can focus on being present with Donna now, supporting one another, and honoring her life when the time comes.
