I am creating this fundraiser for my brother, Bob Parks. His death was completely unanticipated, and my family and I are now facing the painful responsibility of handling his final affairs while also grieving his loss. On top of that emotional burden, the expenses have become overwhelming. Bob’s final expenses are over $9,000 and include costs such as biowaste cleanup and a probate attorney. This total does not include travel expenses. Because he passed away without a will or power of attorney, there are added legal and practical challenges that have made this situation even harder to manage.
