Hello,
My name is Benjamin Weitz. I have never done this before, but am humbly coming to ask for help to respectfully be able to bury my wife’s father, Dale Netherly. He was an incredible, loving husband and father, who had a love for crafting (gourds specifically), fishing, and family. He, along with his wife, raised a beautiful, kind, and generous young woman, Ellen, who is now my amazing wife.
Sadly, around ten years ago, Dale’s wife passed from pancreatic cancer, leaving him with a void that no one was able to fill. He fell into a deep depression that lasted for years, significantly affecting his health, leading to Dale placing himself into an assisted living facility. However, with the love from his daughter, he fought his way out of this hole, finally seeing the light again and a bit of hope for the future.
He began crafting again in his room, sharing his new creations with staff and passersby that would spare a moment. He loved sharing these and stories with his two granddaughters. It was beautiful to see the love once again coming from this amazing man.
Three days before Father’s Day, my wife Ellen received a dreadful call. It was explained to her that Dale had started breathing differently and quickly after, stopped entirely and was gone. This sudden, unexpected passing was crushing.
While wading through everything that had to be done, we found that Dale had forgone life insurance, leaving us with little to no funds to complete his burial. He was lost at one point and had given up on everything. He did not think this would be needed.
This brings me to why I am asking for help. We are not a wealthy family and although we have some, we do not have enough to be able to bury Dale next to his wife. If anyone reading all of this finds it in your heart to bless us with a donation, it would be incredibly appreciated with the utmost gratitude.
Thank you for your time. God bless.
