On June 16th at 2:07 PM, our family experienced the unimaginable — the sudden and heartbreaking loss of 4-month-old Glenda.
Glenda was a beautiful, bright soul taken far too soon under devastating and unexpected circumstances. While we are still gathering answers, we believe her passing may have been the result of neglect in the kinship placement where DSS placed her. Our family is shattered and overwhelmed with grief as we try to make sense of this tragic loss.
Her mother, Haleigh, is now facing every parent’s worst nightmare — saying goodbye to her baby girl. We are rallying around her and doing everything we can to support her during this incredibly painful time.
As of now, no funeral date has been set — the shock is still fresh and the wounds are still open. But we do know that we want to give Glenda a peaceful, dignified farewell — something that no mother should ever have to plan for their child.
