Thank you for taking the time to read our fundraiser. We are a family asking for support following the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister, Daughter, and Friend, as we plan her end of life celebrations, and fulfilling her final wishes. Michelle passed early on the morning of May 28th at the age of 54 years old. She is succeeded by two sons, Stephen and Jacob, and a grandson, Alex. She had spent the last four months fighting illness and her final days were a reflection of her strength and dedication to be with those she loves. We remember Michelle as a kindhearted, good-spirited, beautiful, wonderful person and we want to fulfill her final wishes as best we can, but, unfortunately a major financial burden imposes us. Michelle ideally wanted to be buried, but due to the cost, we are having to opt for a cremation as Michelle did not have any after-life plans in place.
Prior to her passing, Michelle lived a fairly normal life, though she persevered through health and mobility issues and struggled to provide for herself. As such, she contributed as much as she could with what she had. Her oldest son, Stephen, is a single father to Michelle’s grandson, Alex. Her youngest son, Jacob, has been out of work due to a work-related injury and has dedicated his time to being with his mom through all of the challenges of the last four months. Nearly every day, Jacob has been by his mother’s side, refusing to let her endure this nightmare alone. As such, we are not in a place to cover what options we have left to fulfill Michelle’s wishes and after-life plans, which include a cremation and placement in the cemetery where her family is buried, and a celebration of her life where we will, as per her request, be dancing, singing, and wearing our slippers!
