Help Us Honor Lisa Cooper and Support Her Granddaughter, Nevaeh
On the night of Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, we received the heartbreaking news that our dear friend, longtime coworker, and the backbone of her family, Lisa Cooper, tragically passed away.
Lisa’s granddaughter, Nevaeh, who was in the vehicle at the time of the accident, survived but was hospitalized with injuries. Nevaeh was Lisa’s dependent and primary responsibility—her pride, her purpose, and her heart.
The crash involved a driver who has since been arrested for DWI. The other driver, who was at fault, was uninsured. While we are working with the insurance companies to seek support, these processes are often long and uncertain—and the immediate costs for cremation, memorial, and viewing services are now solely on the shoulders of Lisa’s close circle.
Nevaeh, who will be a senior in high school this fall, is currently being cared for to the best of our abilities through the help of Lisa’s friends and coworkers. However, her future—emotionally, financially, and logistically—remains very uncertain. She has lost not just her home, but her only guardian.
We are asking for help to:
-Cover memorial, cremation, and funeral expenses
-Support Nevaeh’s immediate care, including grief counseling, housing, and daily necessities
-Provide for her future during this life-altering transition
Every donation, share, and kind word matters. No gesture is too small. Your generosity will go directly toward honoring Lisa’s memory and supporting the young life she loved most.
If you’d like more information on when the service and viewing will be or wish to reach out personally, we’ve created a dedicated email address for ongoing updates and questions:
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for standing beside us in this unimaginable time.
With gratitude,
Lisa’s loved ones.
