We are heartbroken to share that our beloved mom and grandma passed away unexpectedly this May. She was a light in our lives—kind, selfless, and full of quiet strength. We’ve been doing our best to honor her memory and give her the
peaceful rest she deserves, but we’ve hit an unexpected and overwhelming roadblock.
My grandma had a life insurance policy, but what we didn’t know was that it had to be active for two full years in order to pay the full benefit. Her policy would have reached that point in August, but she passed away in May, just a few months short. Because of this, the insurance only paid back what she had paid into it—plus a small amount of interest. It wasn’t nearly enough to cover her funeral.
Now we’re left with a remaining $7,000 balance that we simply can’t afford on our own. This includes paying off the funeral home and purchasing a headstone to mark her resting place—a place where we can visit, grieve, and remember her.
We never imagined we’d have to ask for help like this, but we truly don’t have another option. We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to ask: If you’re able, would you consider donating anything—big or small—to help us close this final chapter for her with love and dignity?
Every dollar brings us closer to laying her to rest without the weight of financial stress, and every share helps her story reach more people who might be willing to lend a hand.
Thank you for your love, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful
With love,
The Crossen Family
