It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking loss of our dear friend, Michael Hendricks, who passed away at just 46 years old after a short battle with cancer.
Michael was a childhood friend of Nicole and I and someone who has been a part of our lives for many years. Losing someone you have known since you were young is difficult to put into words. There are so many memories of playing baseball in our yards, Phase 10 games that lasted hours, playing in the woods in the neighborhood, and terrorizing Grandma Marilyn and Tina. So many moments, and so much life that we never imagined would end this soon.
Michael’s cancer progressed incredibly quickly. His decline happened so fast that his family simply didn’t have the time to prepare emotionally or financially for the devastating loss they are now facing.
The family is now facing not only the unimaginable pain of losing their son, brother, and uncle, but also the unexpected financial expenses that come with such a sudden loss.
We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden. Donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, medical bills, and other costs Michael’s family is now facing.
