My amazing mom has recently been through a devastating and unexpected health crisis that has turned her life—and ours—completely upside down. We’re reaching out to our community of friends, family, and anyone who’s been touched by her warmth, kindness, and selflessness to ask for support during this incredibly difficult time.
It all began when she suffered a fall that resulted in a mild concussion. At the time, we thought that would be the extent of the scare. But just a few days later, her heart began to show signs of distress. She was rushed to the Emergency Room and admitted for five days, during which she had to undergo surgery to receive a pacemaker. We were shaken, but hopeful.
Then, just nine days after being discharged, the unimaginable happened. She suffered a massive stroke on the right side of her brain, affecting the entire left side of her body. The stroke landed her in the ICU, where she remained for 19 long, uncertain days. In total, she spent 24 days in intensive care, fighting for her life and future.
Her stroke has left her with major challenges—physically, emotionally, and mentally. She now faces a long road to recovery that includes extensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. But if anyone has the strength and heart to push through this, it’s my mom.
She is one of the most hardworking and caring people you could ever meet. The kind of person who’s always the first to offer help, lend a hand, or brighten someone’s day. A loyal friend, a loving mother, and above all, a devoted grandmother—her greatest joy in life is spending time with her grandkids, making memories, and watching them grow.
Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.
As you can imagine, the financial burden of multiple hospital stays, surgeries, ICU care, and the long-term rehabilitation she needs is overwhelming. We are doing everything we can as a family, but we humbly ask for your help—whether it’s a donation, a share of this page, or simply a prayer.
