Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
My beloved son, Alex Cruz, was recently involved in a life-threatening car accident that has turned our world upside down. He is currently in critical condition, fighting for his life with unimaginable strength and resilience.
As a result of the accident, Alex has suffered:
A right leg amputation
Severe brain swelling and bleeding
A broken and split pelvis
And all of this while also managing Type 1 Diabetes, a condition that complicates every step of his recovery
Alex is a fighter, but his journey is going to be long, painful, and incredibly difficult. He remains in intensive care, and his medical team is working around the clock to stabilize him and save his life.
We’re asking for your help during this heartbreaking and overwhelming time. The medical costs, future rehabilitation, prosthetic care, long-term therapy, and accessibility needs (wheelchair, transportation, home modifications) will be staggering. On top of that, we are facing time away from work and other unexpected expenses.
