Trish is raising this fundraiser for Shawn Davies, a good friend, loving single father, and hard-working delivery driver. Shawn has been hit with the kind of loss no parent should ever have to face. His 9-year-old daughter, Sophia, suffered a sudden head injury while in the care of Shawn’s brother and sister-in-law. At first, Sophia seemed to be okay, and Shawn rushed to be with her and stayed the night. But after he had gone back out on the road, he received another devastating call: Sophia’s condition had suddenly worsened. She was taken to the hospital, where she tragically passed away. Now Shawn is left grieving the heartbreaking loss of his little girl while also trying to be there for his son, Lucas, who needs his father more than ever.
The funds raised will help Shawn give Sophia a proper burial, support Lucas in these painful early days, and allow Shawn to take time away from work so he can stay home and help his son cope.
