Help Nancy Honor Her Mother’s Memory

Main fundraiser photo

My name is Nancy Colvin and I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart I’ve ever carried.

I’m the full-time caregiver for my precious mother, who is now in the final stages of Alzheimer’s disease—what they call the Pearl Stage. She can no longer walk, speak, or feed herself. Most days, she doesn’t even open her eyes. But I still sit with her, hold her hand, and play her favorite gospel songs, hoping she feels my love even if she can’t say it back. She was the most outgoing person with a love for singing.Alzheimer’s has taken it all from her.It is a thief that comes in and destroys everything.

This disease has taken so much from her… from us. But I refuse to let it take her dignity too.

A while ago, I started making payments toward her prearranged funeral because I knew this day would come. I’ve paid over $3,000 already, doing the best I could while caring for her around the clock and trying to make ends meet. But her health is declining so fast now, and I am terrified I won’t be able to finish paying in time.I have taken care of many patients with Alzheimer’s over the years. My Mom is close to crossing over to her jesus.

I’m asking for help—something I never thought I’d do. Not because I want pity, but because I want to honor my mother. She raised me with strength and love, and all I want is to give her a peaceful, respectful goodbye when that time comes. The funeral home is Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City Al.You can donate directly to them also.My mom is Barbara S Griffith.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world. If you can’t give, I understand completely—sharing this page is just as meaningful. Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for helping me give my mama the farewell she deserves.

With all my heart thank you Nancy Colvin

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
