I am fundraising in honor of my cousin, Megan, and her mother, Peggy, as Megan is reaching out for any assistance and support at this time as her mom’s sole caregiver.
It is with a heavy heart that we are reaching out to you for help during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and cousin, Peggy (Bruce) Fitzgerald, is currently in hospice care, battling the devastating effects of non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. She was diagnosed later in life, after years of suffering without knowing the cause of her pain. Now, at the age of 57, she is nearing the end of her journey.
Peggy has always been a source of strength and love for our family. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a grandmother who showered her grandchildren with endless affection. Her heart was as big as her spirit, and the impact she had on all of us cannot be measured.
As her daughter and sole caregiver, Megan has been by her side throughout this painful journey. From the countless doctor visits to the sleepless nights, they have done their best to ensure she was never alone in her fight. But now, with her time with us coming to an end, our focus is on giving her the peaceful farewell she deserves.
Unfortunately, funeral expenses are a significant financial burden, and we are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. At this time, we are unsure of any official funeral plans due to Peggy still continuing with hospice care. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering the costs of her funeral and memorial services.
We understand that times are hard for many, so if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help. Your support, whether in the form of a donation or simply by spreading the word, means the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for your kindness, generosity, and support during this heartbreaking time.
With love and gratitude,
Brittany Canfield
