Our family’s journey to America was a long one. We came here legally, believing in freedom, justice, and the promise of the American Dream. We never imagined that one day, Jamshid—our husband, father, grandfather, and fearless freedom advocate—would be kidnapped, tortured, and executed while the world watched.
Even in death, the cruelty continues. His remains were held hostage for months, and now, our family must navigate overwhelming obstacles just to bring him back home to California, where he belongs and lay him to rest.
While some of the immense transportation costs have been covered, much remains uncertain. U.S. authorities have yet to commit to assisting with his final journey. No family should have to bear this burden alone.
