Help lay deserving Marine to rest

Main fundraiser photo
Richard Clinton McWhorter was born on October 16, 1944 in South Eastern Ohio and went home unexpectedly to be with the Lord on June 14th, 2025. A man who selflessly served his country as a United States Marine in active Vietnam from 1965-1967. Unfortunately, we are not always prepared to lay those we love to rest in the way that they had wished. It was Clint’s hope that he would one day be laid to rest at Minnich Cemetery, in Union, OH, the same cemetery his only son (Richard Clinton McWhorter II) was laid to rest several years ago. With this request, comes a large financial burden that no family can ever be quite prepared for. Clint leaves behind a wife of 57 years, (Shelba), a daughter (Tiffany) & her husband (Ronald). Clint also sadly leaves 4 grandchildren (one who he without a doubt greeted sweetly in heaven as he arrived, Rylee Jo), 8 great grandchildren, and numerous family & friends. The world lost a great man, but Heaven rejoiced as he entered.

It is the hope that we can raise enough funding to give this Marine the funeral and burial he requested and so very much deserves. Any funding that goes beyond the goal, will be used as extra support for his wife, Shelba, as she herself is not in well health and is unable to work. If you are not in a position to give, please feel it within your heart to share so we can reach as many as possible.

We hope to lay Clint to rest on Monday, June 23rd at Minnich Cemetary. Donations can be made directly to fundraiser, or can also be made in Clint’s name directly to:

Kindred Funeral Home

400 Union Blvd, Englewood, OH 45322

No family should ever have to stress over the financial burden of death; with your help we can take a load off and allow them the grieve in a way they need to without worry.

To any and all who serve our country, we thank you graciously.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
