Help Honor Veronica Kime & Support Her Family
On August 16, 2026, Veronica Kime, 19, of Parker, Colorado, passed away, leaving behind her mother, Janae, her twin brother, Devon, her grandparents, Elaine and Dave, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and everyone who loved her.
I am a family friend of Janae and her family, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Janae and Devon. We are asking for support to help honor Veronica’s life, provide her with the beautiful farewell she deserves, and help her family manage the financial burdens that have followed her passing.
Remembering Veronica
Veronica was kind, creative, empathetic, intuitive, intelligent, and beautiful. She had a way of lighting up every room she entered. People were naturally drawn to her, and she made others feel comfortable, seen, and cared for.
She loved music, fashion, racing cars, her family, and her friends. She was a talented singer and dancer who loved to have fun and enjoy life. She also had a genuine heart for helping others.
Veronica worked as a dental assistant and enjoyed caring for and helping people. She dreamed of continuing her education in dental hygiene, then attending dental school and one day becoming an orthodontist.
She had dreams for her future. She had plans. She had so much more life ahead of her.
To those closest to her, she was affectionately known as V, Verbear, and Vera.
Whatever name you called her, Veronica cared deeply. She checked in on the people she loved, cared about how others were doing, and would go out of her way to help the people who mattered to her.
That was Veronica.
Veronica & Devon: A Special Twin Bond
Veronica and her twin brother, Devon, shared a bond that was unlike anything else.
They did so much of life together. They shared friends, experiences, laughter, challenges, excitement, and countless memories.
They were best friends.
They understood one another in a way that is difficult to describe. They felt each other’s joy, pain, excitement, and sadness. They challenged each other and kept that Aries fire alive.
Together, they were an unstoppable force, bringing beautiful energy to the people around them.
They were each other’s people.
The loss of Veronica has left an enormous absence in Devon’s life, as well as in the lives of Janae, Elaine and Dave, their extended family, and everyone who knew and loved her.
Helping Janae & Devon
While grieving the loss of her daughter, Janae is also arranging Veronica’s Celebration of Life and cremation interment ceremony, which will take place toward the end of September.
We are asking for donations by September 22 to help the family meet these immediate expenses.
The family anticipates approximately $8,000 for Veronica’s cremation, Celebration of Life, cemetery, and cremains interment. There may also be additional expenses for her headstone and other necessary interment costs.
Medical bills may also arrive. The family’s insurance coverage had lapsed shortly before Veronica’s passing, so the amount of any outstanding medical expenses is not yet known.
At the same time, Janae and Devon are currently out of work and have lost income following Veronica’s passing.
Janae expects that she may be unable to work for approximately 4–6 months. Their current essential monthly expenses are approximately:
– Housing: $1,700
– Utilities: $220
– Groceries: $300
– Car payment: $480
– Gas and transportation: $180
– Other essential bills: $400
That is approximately $3,280 per month, or $19,680 over six months.
With approximately $8,000 in final-arrangement expenses, the family’s currently estimated need is already approximately $27,680, before the additional medical, headstone, and interment costs are known.
For that reason, we have set our goal at $30,000.
Funds raised will help with Veronica’s final arrangements, potential medical expenses, and essential household costs while Janae and Devon are out of work.
No amount of money can replace Veronica. But your support can give Janae and Devon financial breathing room so they can focus on grieving, remembering Veronica, and supporting one another.
Remember Veronica for How Beautifully She Lived
Veronica’s family does not want her remembered for how her life ended.
They want her remembered for how beautifully she lived.
For her kindness, creativity, music, dancing, laughter, energy, dreams, and the way she made people feel that they mattered.
Her mother, Janae, would like to share these words with her daughter:

Veronica was only 19, but the impact she made on the people around her was immeasurable.
