Dear Family, Friends, and Compassionate Strangers,
With a heart weighed down by grief, I find myself writing this message to you today. My name is Dhanapati Subedi, and I am reaching out in this moment of profound sorrow to ask for your support in honoring the memory of my beloved daughter, Anjana Subedi.
Anjana, only 22 years old, passed away on March 23rd, 2025, after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. This loss is beyond words, especially as it follows the passing of my precious son, Aarav Subedi, who was just 3 years old when he left us a little over a year ago. The pain of losing both of my children in such a short period of time is unbearable, and no words can truly capture the depth of the void their absence has left in my life.
For the past two and a half years, my wife and I have not been able to work. We have devoted ourselves entirely to caring for our children, trying our best to provide them with the love and support they needed. In doing so, we have exhausted all our savings and resources. While it has been an incredibly difficult time, we’ve never hesitated in putting our children first. But now, as we face the unimaginable loss of Anjana, we find ourselves in a place where we need to ask for help to cover the funeral cost and other expenses.
I am someone who has always prided myself on being self-sufficient, on handling the challenges life throws my way without burdening others. But the weight of losing two children in such a short time has been more than we can bear alone. While it is not easy for me to reach out for help, I know that asking for support in this time of need is not a sign of weakness, but a necessary step to honor my daughter’s life and give her the respectful farewell she deserves.
How Your Generosity Will Help:
• Funeral and other related expenses
• Memorial service and tribute to celebrate Anjana’s life
• Other related costs to ensure Anjana’s memory is honored with love
Anjana was born in the Timai refugee camp in Eastern Nepal, the first child of my wife, Bhim, and me. From the very beginning, she embodied hope and resilience. She was a source of immense pride, and her spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
From the deepest part of my heart, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. It means more than words can say.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dhanapati Subedi
