On June 16, 2026, Aaron Avery, KIM’s beloved son, passed away far too soon at just 22 years old after being struck by a suspected impaired driver while walking home from work. Aaron was a World Cup security worker from Inglewood with a bright future ahead of him. He was a son, brother, nephew, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and love touched so many people. Aaron loved his family, enjoyed helping others, and took pride in his community. Even in the midst of this heartbreaking loss, Aaron’s generous spirit continued to shine through organ donation, as his liver, pancreas, and kidneys helped save other lives.
As Aaron’s birthday approaches, KIM has reached a place in grief where honoring Aaron with a celebration of life this November feels possible.
