Help Fulfill Elisha Anyango’s Final Wish – Burial in Kenya

Main fundraiser photo
My name is Jane Pamella Anyango Gregory, and I am raising funds to fulfill the final wish of my brother, Elisha H. Odhiambo Anyango, who passed away on June 6th, 2025, after a sudden illness. Elisha was admitted to St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY, on April 10th due to acute respiratory failure. He suffered cardiac arrest and a severe brain injury that left him in a coma. He was later transferred to Kindred Hospital in New Jersey, where he sadly passed away.

Elisha was a kind and generous soul who quietly made a significant impact. He supported widows, paid school fees for students overseas, and helped families in need in Kenya, many of whom he had never even met. He loved animals, especially birds, and found joy in caring for parrots and quail. Though he lived in the U.S., his heart never left Kenya, and his wish was to be buried there in his homeland.

We are aiming to raise $30,000 by July 11th to cover the costs of transporting his body to Kenya and arranging his burial. This includes:

  • Funeral home services
  • International repatriation
  • Burial expenses
Any amount you can give will help bring Elisha home and allow our family to honor him with the dignity he deserves.

Please consider making a contribution and sharing this fundraiser with your network. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to fulfilling his final journey. Thank you for your love and support.

With deep gratitude,

Jane Pamella Anyango Gregory & Family

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
