Luis is raising support for Elyssa, a close friend who has always been there in times of need. Elyssa’s father, Gilbert, tragically passed away in an accident Monday morning on his way to work. Gilbert was a hardworking, caring person who loved his daughter deeply, and his loss has left Elyssa heartbroken and facing more than anyone should have to carry alone. On top of grieving, she is now trying to manage the many expenses that come after such a sudden loss while holding on to the truck Gilbert worked so hard to buy and was so close to paying off. To Elyssa, that truck is not just a vehicle. It is one of the last pieces of her father she has left.
Most of the support from this fundraiser will go toward attorney fees and truck payments, while also helping Elyssa as she faces funeral costs, lost work time, bills, and the care of Gilbert’s two senior dogs. She is doing everything she can and plans to work more to cover what she is able, but right now she needs help to keep from losing the truck and falling further behind during this painful time. Luis is deeply sorry to ask the community for help, but Gilbert was like a father figure to him, and he wants to do all he can to make sure Elyssa does not have to suffer even more.
