My name is April, and I’m reaching out during the most heartbreaking time of our lives. My mother, Heather, is dying. She has Complete Kidney Failure and also Severe Liver Failure. We’ve been told there’s nothing more that can be done medically, so we have called in Hospice.
We are now focused on making her remaining days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Every moment is precious. We want to surround her with love, ease her pain, and honor the incredible woman she is.
But the reality is, the emotional weight has been matched by a heavy financial burden. We’re raising funds to help with:
• Hospice and end-of-life care
• Medical bills not covered by insurance
• Funeral and memorial arrangements (when the time comes)
My mother has always had a big heart — always trying to give everything she had to those around her. If nothing else, we got dark humor and witty banter. Now, we want to give her the dignity and care she truly deserves in these final moments.
