Hi, my name is Camilynn Ramos. I am a mother of a heart warrior named Angel Mejia-Ramos, who lost his life fighting HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). He was my firstborn. He passed away on February 12th, 2019, at 7 months old. Being a new mom and having to bury your son is not something you ever want to do, especially when you have strict Catholic family members telling you what to do with your son’s ashes. I wanted to just bring him home in his urn and put him on a mantel, but my family pushed me to put him in a cemetery home. They also made me put my necklace that had his ashes in there with him, so I don’t have any of his ashes with me.
Thinking about it, my husband and I just really want to bring him home and get him out of the box that we put him in at the cemetery home. We are also wanting to sell the plot that we have. It’s only for a loved one’s ashes. We are just asking right now for help so that we can get him out of the cemetery plot. He is cremated, so he’s in an urn, and we just want to bring him home, but we don’t have a lot of money to pull out. So, we are trying to ask for help to bring him home. Any donation is appreciated, and I hope I don’t get any backlash for this. Everybody has their own opinions, but I am just a mother that is still hurting from losing her firstborn child and just wants him to be home with his family that loves him.
