Our family is heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved Erin Piacenti.
Erin was a kind, loving, and deeply caring person. She had a beautiful heart and genuinely cared about the people around her. She was a cherished wife, daughter, cousin, friend, and loved one. To those who knew her, Erin was someone whose kindness and love will never be forgotten.
On August 31, 2026, Erin was in New York City when she became the victim of a horrific and unexpected act of violence in Times Square. According to authorities, a woman carrying knives randomly attacked people near West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. Erin was stabbed and transported to the hospital, where she tragically passed away from her injuries.
There are no words that can truly express the pain our family is experiencing. Erin was simply going about her life when it was suddenly and senselessly taken from her. We are left trying to make sense of an unimaginable loss while also facing the immediate costs that come with losing someone so unexpectedly.
I am Erin’s cousin, and I created this fundraiser on behalf of our family to help with the costs of her funeral, memorial services, and other expenses associated with laying Erin to rest.
Our goal is to give Erin the beautiful and dignified farewell she deserves while helping ease some of the financial burden on her loved ones during this incredibly painful time.
