My name is Mercedes Martin and I never thought I’d be writing something like this.
My beautiful baby girl, Nevaeh, was taken from this world far too soon on June 8th, 2025. One moment she was here — full of life, laughter, and love — and the next, she was gone. No warning. No time to prepare. Just gone. And now I’m left trying to breathe through a pain that no mother should ever have to feel.
Nevaeh was my heart, my joy, my reason for everything. She had a spirit that lit up every room, a smile that could soften the hardest days, and a laugh I would give anything to hear one more time. She was taken far too young, and I will never understand why.
She leaves behind so many people who loved her deeply — family, friends, classmates, and a whole community who are heartbroken over her passing. Nevaeh touched lives with her kindness, her light, and her big, beautiful heart. She may be gone, but her love will stay with us forever.
Now, as I grieve the unimaginable, I’m also faced with the painful responsibility of laying her to rest. I’m asking for help raising $10,000 to give my daughter the homegoing she deserves — one that reflects her beauty, her spirit, and how deeply she was loved.
