Update on Funeral Arrangements for Our Brother, Pastino Tut Kak
Dear Yach Community and friends,
I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued support and generosity as we work together to honor the life and legacy of our beloved brother, Pastino Kak. Your efforts, kindness, and contributions mean so much.
As of today, we have not yet reached fifty percent of the necessary funds for Pastino’s funeral expenses. Understanding the urgency of the situation, I reached out to both the funeral home director and cemetery manager to request an extension, allowing us more time to secure the required funds.
The funeral home director kindly agreed to grant a one-week extension, but she advised me to speak with the cemetery manager regarding burial scheduling. After my discussion with the cemetery manager, it was confirmed that they will be closed for the July 4th weekend, leading us to reschedule the burial for Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 2 PM.
This date was chosen carefully to accommodate the cemetery’s availability and to manage costs effectively. A Saturday service would have incurred an additional fee of approximately $800, along with an earlier start time of 9 AM. By holding the service on Friday afternoon, we are ensuring a smooth and respectful ceremony while being mindful of expenses.
I ask that we continue to stand together as a community in support of his burial, doing whatever we can to ensure Pastino receives the proper final arrangements he deserves. If you are able, please consider contributing to the funeral fund or sharing this message with others in the community.
