We have unexpectedly and tragically lost our dear friend David. His sudden passing on Saturday, August 29th has left so many hearts broken. His husband, Cory, is now facing the unimaginable loss of his best friend. David’s family, friends, and co-workers are also grieving his irreplaceable presence. We are helping raise funds in David’s name to support Cory during this incredibly difficult time and to help ease some of the burdens that come with such a devastating loss.
For those who had the privilege of knowing David, they can attest to his exuberance for life. He pulled together a vibrant group of friends from all corners, connecting everyone he touched. As a nurse, he cared deeply about his patients and the community he served. Beyond work, he thrived on social connection, working to create a world around him that was kinder, more equitable, more loving. He had a sense of justice that would not allow him to look away from someone in need, using his voice, his heart, and his time to uplift those around him.
The funds raised will help cover unexpected medical costs, final arrangements, and future costs for a celebration of life. They will also help loved ones travel from California to Vermont so they can be together and honor David. Any support, no matter the size, will mean so much to Cory, David’s family, and everyone who loves him.
