Hi family and friends of Sean,
My name is Liezel (Liz) Montillano. I have had the pleasure of knowing Sean’s for the past 6 years. Formally, I was his resource counselor Monday through Friday working with Sean to have a balanced lifestyle and to be positive contributors to society. We volunteered at local non-profits and food pantries, went to the gym to exercise, shopped at stores, ate together, in addition to many other things, but behind all that, we shared countless smiles, laughs, and tears.
While on a family trip, Sean unexpectedly collapsed, was rushed to the ER and put on life support in the ICU. I am thankful I was able to talk with his family and to say my good-byes to Sean. On March 20, 2025 at 2:28pm, I lost a family member that I loved and brought me so much joy daily.
For those who had the pleasure of knowing Sean, there are not any words that can describe what an amazing person he was. Sean loved helping the community. When volunteering, regardless if it was the tiniest of jobs or the most exhausting tasks, he never hesitated to “just help” in the most genuinely joyful way…..a way that spread generosity and joy to all around him. He’s that person that would notice when someone was absent and would remember to ask them the next week if they were “playing hooky last week.” Sean had great humor and a contagious laugh.
Anyone that has heard his weekly updates knew how much he enjoyed bonding with his mom, getting spoiled by his sister, spending time with his best friend, Kevin, playing sports with his Uncle Jeff, and of course, DANCING with anyone & everyone!
Sean was someone that effortlessly remembered the good moments in the past, joyfully lived in the present, and hopefully looked to the future- certainly this is something we will all continue to strive for because of Sean.
On behalf of his mom Gina, sister Shelby, best friend Kevin, Uncle Jeff, and his grandmother, who have been most devastated by his sudden passing, we want to thank you for being a friend to Sean. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, and for your contribution to his family to give Sean the memorial he deserves.
Thank you again,
Liezel
